The Statistical Committee has been created to facilitate the activities of our members and of our other working committees, through the collection of data and statistics from a wide range of sources within the sporting goods industry.

The committee provides members with vital market data and regularly assesses the share of the sporting goods industry in the European economy. For such a purpose, FESI collaborates with multiple partners, among which:

• National Federations
• SportsEconAustria
• NPD Group
• EUROSTAT

FESI’s 11 member National Federations are the pillars of the Statistical Committee. FESI collects and compiles their annual statistical surveys on national sporting goods markets and sport activities.

Furthermore, NPD annually provides FESI with a selection of data for sport markets’ size in Euro/Dollar and local currencies for each European country, split by: footwear, apparel, equipment and bicycles.
